Starring: Bruce Willis, Steve Buscemi, Will Patton, Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, and Billy Bob Thornton. Directed By: Micheal Bay.
1st viewing: WOW!! This was one awesome movie. The acting was surprisingly good
for an all-out action movie. Trevor Rabin did a truly amazing job with the score,
it was great. The action sequences featured Micheal Bay's amazing uber-editing (and
directing). The special effects blew me out of this world. Steve Buscemi's one-liners
cracked the heck out of me. What can I say? Everything was excellent, except for that garbage
"Discovery Channel scene" .
2nd viewing: Same as first, the "Discovery Channel scene" still sucks. However,
this time I enjoyed the movie more because I didn't have to take a leak, so
I could absorb the whole "impact" completely.
3rd viewing: I'm getting sick of this movie. I was only going to see it to
the part when the astronauts are being trained, but The Truman Show was
sold out, so I had to stay. Well, I think the best parts of the movie occured on
Earth, not in space. However, this time I saw it in DTS, and man, that makes
the movie so much better (The previous two times I saw it in SDDS). In my eyes, the sound
saved the movie from the really bad review I would have given it. Note: The first two viewings occured approximately within 24 hours of each other. The third viewing occured on the day after that.BACK TO REVIEWS |
