Starring: Jim Carrey, Ed Harris. Directed by: Peter Weir. WOW!This was a great movie. For those of you who don't know, The Truman Show is about a guy named Truman Burbank, who was adopted by a corporation, and has had his whole life broadcasted live 24-hours a day, through an intricate system of cameras. Jim Carrey did an amazing job in this movie. I came out of the theatre, and couldn't stop thinking of how well made and done this movie was. People who are used to Jim Carrey as is "other self" will definetly be surprised at his performance. Peter Weir did an amazing job directing this movie. Most of the movie was actually shown through the cameras that broadcasted the show, which I thought was an intelligent idea. Another great thing about this movie was the score. It was fantastic, especially when Truman finds out he's "involved in something". So far (6/17/98), this is definetly the most intelligent movie of the year. BACK TO REVIEWS |
